Zero Waste

Zero Waste Project at Dhuttum Grampanchayat, Uran

LAHS Green India Private Limited with the novel vision of ‘Dumping Ground Free India’ had the privilege of executing a ‘Zero Waste Project’ at Dhuttum Grampanchayat, Uran.

In order to ensure timely and quality deliverables, our team deployed ‘Goldust’ in order to generate compost from wet waste, used a ‘bailing machine’ for plastic waste which compressed the plastic after which it was further categorized into reject waste and recyclable waste. The former was then put into the ‘Plasma Reject Waste Destructor’ and the latter was dealt with by recycling.

ZERO WASTE PROJECT AT MAHAD MUNICIPAL COUNCIL

In order to ensure that zero waste is generated, it is essential to undertake total waste management. With the aim of doing the same so that the roots of Maharashtra also imbibe the ideal of  ‘zero waste’. The Municipal Council of Mahad gave us the mammoth opportunity to transition our dream into reality!

The health and sanitation workers of LAHS who have always been ever so diligent and committed to our dream. We carry out the total waste management at our Project site at Mahad. They first segregate the waste into wet and dry. The wet waste is then put on the conveyor belt which is then transferred to the shredder where it is cut. After which it goes into the screw press for dewatering. Our OWC machine ‘Goldust’ then generates compost out of the de-watered waste. Dry waste is categorised into various types and put to use accordingly. The rejected waste is taken care of by the ‘Plasma Reject Waste Destructor’ and the recyclable dry waste for recycling.
